Solo exhibition at the Bag Factory Gallery, Johannesburg, South Africa
2 - 11 August, 2017
Created during my visiting artist residency at the Bag Factory, this work explores the regulation of space. It engages ideas surrounding that which rests beneath the surface and the physical, conceptual, and societal resonances of this notion. Here I am considering the ways in which the "below" can be a rich site of possibility; a place from which to newly consider internal, external and outer space.
This exhibition was partially funded by a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant.
Exhibition documentation by Anthea Pokroy.
